Cannabis sales used to be done under the table, generally writing them down has historically not been the best idea. I’ve even had DA’s use peoples dreams of someday operating a cannabis business as evidence that they are illegally making a profit. We are moving from those times to a new era. The era post complete prohibition. Here there are disputes that go to court, and justice can finally be served. Some courts are less accepting than others, it seems to some that the flood gates have finally opened.
Disputes between parties can be resolved informally, and we have helped disagreeing groups mediate out their problems out of court. Some disputes unfortunately don’t take that route. If you are thinking of suing someone for a cannabis related contract feel free to consult with us regarding our opinion on your rights and remedies.
If you have been served with a lawsuit time may be of the essence and it is important that you get legal advice as to those deadlines as soon as possible.
Either way, please feel free to reach out to our office so that we can run a conflicts check either way and providing there is no conflict set up a consultation to chat about your situation and how we may be of service to you.
